CroViMo PhD students defend their dissertation topics

Petra Šprem, mag. iur.

Petra Šprem, mag. iur., a project assistant at Violence Research Lab has successfully defended her dissertation topic October 27th, 2020. The dissertation topic defence was conducted via GoogleMeet platform, due to the epidemiological measures put in place, and the committee members were Prof. Dr. Davor Derenčinović, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anna-Maria Getoš Kalac as mentor and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dalida Rittossa. Through a series of committee member’s questions, Šprem successfully explained her hypotheses, planned research course and instruments. In her dissertation, Šprem will focus on normative and empirical analysis of domestic violence in Croatia; criminal law concepts, criminological phenomenon, practical challenges and possible solutions. The research will be conducted as part of the Violence Research Lab’s case file analysis. 

Karlo Bojčić, mag. paed.

Karlo Bojčić, mag. paed., a project assistant at Violence Research Lab has successfully defended his dissertation topic on March 9th, 2021. The dissertation topic defence was conducted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, and the committee members were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marija Sablić, Assist. Prof. Dr. Tijana Borovac and Assist. Prof. Dr. Lara Cakić. Through a series of committee member’s questions, Bojčić successfully defended his hypotheses, planned research course and instruments he intends to use. In his dissertation, Bojčić will focus on the risk and protective factors in the development of physically aggressive behaviour in preschool and elementary school children, under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Goran Livazović.
