VIOLENCE RESEARCH LAB TEAM PRESENTS AT EUROCRIM 2024!

As every year, the largest criminological European association (EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF CRIMINIOLOGY, ESC) held its annual conference that gathers top experts from all over Europe and the world to discuss hot topics from the field of criminology, victimology and criminal justice.

Violence lab team had the honor to participate in the conference by holding a roundtable session on the topic: Domestic violence – exposing unpopular topics (participants: head of the Violence Lab, dr. Reana Bezić, dr. Ruža Karlović and dr. Petra Šprem). Roundtable served as a platform for discussing topics that are neither politically opportune nor mainstream desirable such as questioning gender asymmetry or discussing concept of psychological violence.

Finally, we are proud that the former leader of the Violence Lab team, Prof. dr. Anna-Maria Getoš Kalac was elected President of the European Society of Criminology for a term of three years. Congratulations!
